Description: No More Shapes Duo (Calgary) & Aeroplane Trio Friday May 7 10pm 1067 Granville St. (alley entrance) $5 at the door *Cash Bar (licensed) NO MORE SHAPES: Calgary-based duo No More Shapes, featuring Jay Crocker on guitar & electronics, and Eric Hamelin on drums & percussion. NoMoreShapes was formed in 2007 through a series of early Bug Incision (bugincision.com) gigs and from tapes filled with seemingly unremarkable, sweaty keyboard & drum riffs (written & recorded by Eric Hamelin). These disparate motifs would turn out to be the starting point for the groups' music and within the year enough material for an album was developed.
