Event Description
THE PAGEShttp://www.myspace.com/thepagesspace
The Pages are an eleven-piece eruption of musical intensity, dedicated to bringing the world new harmonic textures, new rythmic interactions, and most of all a new sonic experience. Featuring a potent horn section, a sometimes-lush, sometimes-gritty vocal attack, and a powerhouse engine of a rhythm section, this band evades any stylistic pigeon-holing while staying true to many strong influences. Soul, rock, afro-latin, jazz; all meet in a wave of sound and positivity. Anything is possible.
WEE BOY PRETTY
http://www.myspace.com/weeboypretty
Wee Boy Pretty makes accomplished songwriting sparkle. Intricate guitar stylings, a bounty of percussion and vocals that are sometimes raw, sometimes fragile, but always dead right for the song.
Lyrically driven and spattered with deliciously psychedelic flourishes, Wee Boy Pretty ride from beach bonfire to dance floor. There’s groovy, there’s quirky, there’s out-and-out pop. They’ve been compared to everything from G-Love to Feist to Elbow.
The long-standing musical relationship betweensinger Jo Cairns and guitarist Sandor Gyurkovics began as a Whistler summer, sharing a love of music and bare feet. Teaming up with percussionist Erin Sharp, drummer Andrew Newton and bassist Josh Knepper has been a wild adventure and a total delight. Even now, 6 years and 5000 miles in, the journey feels like it’s only just beninning.
There’s a palpable energy at Wee Boy Pretty base camp. So come out to play, and let’s make something big, something grand and something beautiful.

Mud Dog - Rockin' Delta Blues For The 21st Century!
Steve "Mud Dog" Sainas has been a guitarist/singer/songwriter in Vancouver's cabarets and pubs for the past twenty years. During this time, he has developed a powerful blues guitar and singing style that is instantly recognized by his steadily growing audience. In 1997, Steve began to lay the groundwork for forming his powerful blues band Mud Dog. His vision was to pay tribute to blues masters such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker with a fiery contemporary blues sound. Sainas, as well as two traditional arrangements. The CD is receiving regular airplay coast to coast. Five years later, Mud Dog released their second CD “River of My Soul” that features eleven new original acoustic songs written and produced by Sainas. Fans and reviewers describe “River of My Soul” as Mud Dog’s best CD so far.
Christopher “Reed Killer” Allen is an award winning harmonica/vocal virtuoso who has performed and recorded all over the continent with a host of musical greats including Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, Esther Phillips, Ronnie Hawkins, Tina Turner, Jeff Healey, Bob Rock, and David Foster. Together, Steve And Christopher dig deep into roots blues creating a fresh contemporary acoustic sound that is thick with energy and flowing chemistry. The combination of harmony vocals, harmonica, acoustic guitar and steel dobro brings out the very essence of the original blues sounds of the 30's, 40's & 50's.
