Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra have a unique sound that tastefully blends ska with Latin, folk, jazz, and reggae. Another name for this awesome acoustic dance music musical could be called "gypsy ska". Think Manu Chao meets Yan Teirsen. While their roots are very much in the west coast, their influences are varied and growing. Paul Wolda, having studied the Djembe since the age of 7, lays down hypnotic tribal beats as well as smooth Brazilian Portuguese vocals. El Mapache, on accordion, brings the Spanish influence with flamenco rhythms and soaring lead vocals - in both Spanish and English. Jon and Roy are also another Victoria sensation.
