2 Sets - 1 Elvis 1 Reid Originals

In honour of the 30th anniversary of Elvis’ untimely demise,
Canadian singer songwriter Reid Jamieson brings you The Presley Sessions. Originally titled ‘For the Colonel, with Love’ this fifties era tribute album was initially recorded it as a birthday gift for his longtime sweetheart/manager CVM (affectionately nicknamed ‘the Colonel’ after Presley’s rambunctious and rather opportunistic manager). True to her namesake, she just couldn’t resist sending it out there to see if someone saluted, which they did, and friends at Banbury Park Records quickly scooped it up as it fit perfectly with their catalogue of retro inspired music. Not to be confused with an impersonator, Reid lends his own compelling voice to this tender tribute, singing songs originally recorded in the late 1950s back when Elvis still had a last name.

"Achingly beautiful songs ...A haunting quality not soon forgotten" - Globe and Mail

'Arresting...dazzling voice' - - Toronto Sun

"After Reid appeared on the Vinyl Cafe we received tremendous feedback from our audience. He stole the show... He blew me away." - Stuart McLean/CBC's Vinyl Cafe

'In a few short bars Reid stole the show...' - Now Magazine

'Irresistible...' - Eye Magazine

'More than just another promising upstart... rootsy, mellow and honey-sweet.' - TorontoLife.com
