Originally titled ‘For the Colonel, with Love’ this fifties era tribute album was initially recorded it as a birthday gift for his longtime sweetheart/manager CVM (affectionately nicknamed ‘the Colonel’ after Presley’s rambunctious and rather opportunistic manager). True to her namesake, she just couldn’t resist sending it out there to see if someone saluted, which they did, and friends at Banbury Park Records quickly scooped it up as it fit perfectly with their catalogue of retro inspired music.
