The alt-country group led by Jeff Tweedy has grown from a fairly modest ensemble to an act that is renowned for its experimentalism and eclecticism. With Sky Blue Sky, Wilco’s latest album, the group has once again changed direction—this time to a more laidback sound than previously, one that pays tribute to such influences as the Band, Randy Newman, even the Eagles.
