Born in Toronto of Jamaican parents, singer-songwriter Kellylee Evans is a big star on the rise. Three years ago she placed second in the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition (out of 160), and recently brought out her stunning debut CD Fight or Flight? nominated for a 2007 26 Juno for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. Proud owner of a wonderfully clear and supple alto, Kellylee performs a jazz-infused brand of worldbeat soul that seduces and thrills.
