Gord Clements, bass clarinet and saxophone, and Louise Rose, piano and vocals, salute Edward Kennedy Ellington in an evening of great jazz. Considered among the world’s greatest composers and musicians, Duke Ellington played over 20,000 performances worldwide and wrote and recorded hundreds of musical compositions during his 50-year career. This tribute concert will feature many of his works, including Cottontail, Solitude, Sophisticated Lady, and Isfahan. Gord Clements is an active performer, conductor, and teacher, who plays clarinet, saxophone and flute in both jazz and classical settings.
