POSTER: http://www.rumbletone.com/current/madbomb/madbomb.jpg Mad Bomber Society is a seven-piece band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, playing heavy, danceable ska influenced by the traditional instrumental sound of the Skatalites and the uncompromising attitude of the British 2-Tone movement. Sharing little in common with the poppy style of ska of the mid-90's, Mad Bomber Society's lineage is more directly traceable to the great 80's Canadian ska pioneers King Apparatus and Roots Roundup. The lineup features a three-piece horn section, a wild Hammond-style organ, and a rocksteady rhythm section. Musical influence stands out of the jazz, rock, and pop styles of the 50's and 60's, along with shots of punk, surf, and rockabilly. Mad Bomber Society has been touring Canada since 1996... more...
