Local urban buzz artists Kia Kadiri follows up her highly successful September 4th show at Sonar with a much-anticipated appearance at the Piccadilly Pub on Saturday October 4th. Kadiri has long been a force on the local scene, but the last several months have seen her profile grow nationally with coverage on Much Music, CBC AM, Toronto's Exclaim Magazine and a photo feature in the Georgia Straight on August 28th. She also has 2 tracks on the just released West Coast Women In Rhyme compilation, distributed by Fusion III and featuring the best female MCs in the region. The dynamic live performer has had a great summer, playing a string of festival and club shows, while putting the finishing touches on her FACTOR funded solo debut, due out in early 2004.
