That song, which soared into the top ten of Billboard’s Hot 100 and was a hit in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as well, introduced the Denver quartet to millions of listeners worldwide. The follow-up, “How to Save a Life”, was also a hit, and helped The Fray’s album of the same name go on to sell over 1.5 million copies and reach the top 15 of the Billboard 200 album charts. The 2005 album is still going strong, too, as songs have been featured on popular television series like Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs.
