Event Description
Dear Friends, I’m writing to invite you to attend Remembering Montreal: A Celebration of Women, an evening of ceremony and performance in response to the negative intentions of Marc Lepine. The event, which will take place on December 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the W.I.S.E. Hall (1882 Adanac St.), will be a holiday fundraiser for the North Shore Single Mothers’ Support Group (sliding scale $5-$25). The event will begin with a candle-lighting ceremony and dedication led by North Shore Women’s Centre Director Michelle Dodds. The evening’s performances will be interspersed with brief dedications acknowledging influential women throughout history and women significant to the Vancouver community.
