Event Description

This concert adds a world music twist to your Christmas celebrations with vivacious and colourful seasonal music from North and South America. Ariel Ramirez’s Navidad Nuestra is the Argentine Christmas cantata by the composer of Missa Criolla. Pierick Houdy’s La Messe Québécoise is a rousing Celtic romp complete with fiddle and spoons. Jazz great Dave Brubeck’s La Fiesta de la Posada reflects Mexican seasonal festivities, featuring jazz and mariachi rhythms and a guest appearance by the Pacific Mennonite Children’s choir.
