Very much in tune with the natural rhythms of the north, Isaac always had music as part of her life, from religious hymns to singing in her uncle’s famed folk-rock gospel group. A radio host at 15, Isaac discovered a flair for communication, eventually seeking media training in Montreal. Awards followed, as did work with the NFB. She rediscovered her music a decade ago, and Isaac’s emotionally rich and deeply authentic “polar folk-pop”, as heard on her 2009 album There Will Be Stars, has won her international acclaim and many fans.
