Paul Clifford

Paul Clifford moved to Vancouver, Canada at the age of eighteen from Taunton, England. He has always been interested in music, and was inspired to start learning guitar at age ten. At fifteen, he began performing regularly in karaoke competitions in the UK, where he was twelfth in the national finals. In 2000, he completed a diploma in popular music at Somerset College of Arts and Technology. Shortly afterwards he moved to Canada, where he continued to showcase his work at various venues throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. In 2004, he was presented the opportunity to write jingles set to current radio hits and perform them for Z 95.3, a popular Vancouver radio station. Paul has also been a Canadian Idol competitor for several years, reaching the top 60 in 2006, being the final person cut before the top 22 in 2007, and making it to the top 20 in 2008.

Paul is currently living in the Vancouver area after living in Toronto for seven months and continues to strive for a career in music through songwriting and live shows. His latest EP, Raw and Acoustic, is a mix of his talents with soft vocals, acoustic guitar and violin.
