Event Description
Last friday night was a dream come true in every sense, at least for me (pema). The place was full of nice people who seemed to be having a great time... I had people thanking me for putting it on (what a great feeling), Nick got a shitload of compliments on his basswork, the bass sounded rad because it was going through a bunch of effects... it was so cool... I was talking with kids outside about how killer Mike and Nathan's percussion duette was, that was a major highlight for me... and Nathan was so on top of shit the whole time, it was an intense pleasure playing with those homies. Grindstone is the perfect venue for us, so we're back for more. Branden from Grindstone is the best host ever, too.So what we're doing is what we been doing for awhile now, live, lush, futuristic electronic music that abuses styles like electro, ambient, drum n bass, IDM, and makes them mate with each-other to bring out the most unique sound available from the Victoria electronic scene. As usual there will be no turntables, records or DJs, everything we do is 100% live on the spot. There's five of us but only two or three are allowed to jam at any one time. So we can play for four hours and just switch off. It's great. Hope to see you there :D
This week we're gonna focus on changing it up strategically and paying more attention to each-other. I know it's going to be an excellent show, and it's the only one of its kind that I've seen in this city ever, so I hope to see you there.
xoxo Pema
