Event Description

The Fish Farm Medicine Revival Roadshow is a rabble-rousing evening of music, film and guest speakers.

The Medicine provided by this event is safe and effective. It will speed the removal of salmon farms from BC waters by 2025. It cleanses the waters, removing pests and parasites! It brings back wild salmon! And perhaps most important, it transforms anger, sadness and despair into action!

The Music:

The tour will feature music to rouse your inner rebel, provided by none other than the amazing Luke Wallace! Luke is a songwriter, speaker, choral arranger and environmental champion from the Coast Salish Territory known as Vancouver, Canada. He is like a modern Pete Seeger, and for 10 years has been touring, recording, fundraising and organizing for people and the planet. From the moment he hits the stage, he’ll have you tapping your toes and singing along!

The Film:

Salmon Secrets: Clayoquot Action presents a Jérémy MATHIEU film

Fish farming is pushing wild salmon to the brink of extinction. The federal government has promised to remove fish farms from BC waters by 2025, but now industry is pushing back with false solutions. Join Clayoquot Action’s fish farm watchdog program as a team of underwater cinematographers investigates an “experimental” fish farm near Tofino. What they find surprises them, and spells potential disaster for wild salmon. Featuring marine biologist and bestselling author Alexandra Morton, and traditional 'Na̱mg̱is Chief Ernest Alfred, who document the successful resurgence of salmon after the removal of fish farms from the Broughton Area and Discovery Islands.

Special guest for Duncan show is Tla-o-qui-aht cultural educator and artist Gisele Martin. Clayoquot Action co-founders Bonny Glambeck and Dan Lewis, as well as the film’s director Jérémy Mathieu will be on the road as well!
