DSTNCE Media, a startup online event company, will present folk-rock powerhouse Early Spirit to premiere DSTNCE: Season 1, the company’s inaugural livestream concert series. The event takes place on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 7:00 pm PST. Tickets are available for purchase online. Early Spirit is known on the Canadian folk festival circuit for their energetic, genre-bending performances. Last summer, they performed on the main stage of Salmon Arm’s Roots & Blues festival to rave reviews. The festival’s artistic director, Peter North, called the band “one inspired quartet [...] exceptional instrumentalists, fine singers armed with a deep songbook.” The band also toured Vancouver Island, southern Manitoba, and the Lower Mainland in support of their 2018 debut album, Unrelated. Earlier this year, Early Spirit delighted audiences at the Filberg Festival, Festival du Voyageur, Harrison Festival, and more.
