Dan Challis
Australian songwriter Dan Challis shares his story through unfiltered moments; exploring the light, the shade, and the roughness of being to the rustic sounds of classic folk; inspired by North American travels as well as ruminations of the soul and missing home. Rich with punchy, understated folk hooks and see-sawing textures of 70s country, Dan’s songs have a vulnerability and rawness that have seen him feature on local country radio in his hometown of Brisbane and earned him a following in dive-bars across New York City; since spending time there in 2016 and releasing his self-titled debut album. Dan is based on Vancouver Island these days and is enjoying the fresh landscapes to write and create in.
