Experience one or two day workshops, explore the world and alchemy of encaustic art. Work with molten bees wax, encaustic medium in a variety of techniques and with a myriad of additional materials. Learn the basics then draw on your inner artist to create your own one-of-a-kind piece of art. All materials are supplied with a couple of exceptions, personal photos and meaningful treasures. Experience this ancient art form that precedes oil paint and has a rich history. Discover how encaustic art is experiencing a rebirth and reinterpretation in the 21st century.
Lynda has been working with encaustic medium for 5 years. She has worked with many different techniques and materials. She takes annual workshops with other encaustic artists in a constant search for new ways to use this wonderfully versatile medium.
This is a great opportunity to experience a new medium, share the experience with a friend and enjoy a day in a professional studio. As the studio can only accommodate 2-3 participants, this a very intimate and personal environment. Bring a lunch.
