As a band with three primary songwriters, Pastel Blank (with members of Wept) formed with the intent of creating and experimenting within a sound that lends itself to that of 80’s and 90’s alt-rock/indie artists: swirling guitar tones, a tightly locked rhythm section, and vocals that pendulate between plaintive and oblique.
