Event Description
Come on out to this month's instalment of Working Class Wedneday where we will head into town for our first MALL CRAWL ACTION! Everyone is welcome, and this is a free event for anyone that is making a wage less than $15/hour.*DISCLAIMER* Please arrive before 6:30pm or after 8pm as we will be away from the VEC between those hours.
Time-line:
5pm: Dinner and Mingling.
Main Course=Veggie Chili and Fry-Bread
6:30pm: Hop on the Action Bus for our very first MALL CRAWL! It will be an hour long trip to Uptown Mall where we will hand out fliers and engage with retail workers and the public.
8pm: Return to the VEC for Live Music Featuring Niloo Farazadeh and Ellen Trottier's dynamic duo act and a solo performance by Wes Carroll followed by an open mic.

RETAIL ACTION NETWORK
If you haven't heard of the Retail Action Network, we are a group of retail workers and labour activists that fight for workplace justice, increased wages, and improved conditions in retail, service and hospitality.
Come out and meet others who are interested in workplace justice and enjoy a night of delicious food, conversations, organizing, drink specials and some spine tingling entertainment which changes month to month based off of community response.

ACCESSIBILITY
Bus tickets are available at the door by request. Admission is by donation, no one turned away because their boss doesn't pay them enough.
Preferred seating will be available for those with visual / hearing impairments by request.
For those with mobility restrictions, there is a lift that is accessed from Pandora street as well as reserved parking that is 30m away. At this time, there are no accessible washrooms at the Victoria Event Centre. As such, this venue is not considered to be wheelchair accessible.
