..PARAB POET AND THE HIP HOP HIPPIES..
The Hip Hop Hippies formed in 2012 when Parab Poet (The Hip Hop Hippie) introduced live instruments into his show. Starting with only live percussion and a DJ, the group gradually evolved into a very unconventional folk/hip hop concoction, with addition of marching kick drum, glockenspiel, violin, bass and trumpet. The alternate instruments mixed with the classic turntablist and emcee combination, has created quite a flavour-filled experience!

Lighting up stages and crowds with their brand of hip hop music, Parab Poet and co. have made a lot of new friends and began to amass a following in their home province of Saskatchewan in the short time they’ve been together.

Autumn 2015 will see the band taking their positive vibes westward as they embark on their first Western Canadian tour.

..MORNING MAYHEM..
The formation of Morning Mayhem is the tale of seasoned musicians trying something fresh. Veteran Victoria-based singer songwriter Nick Taylor had a catalogue of music both new and old, and figured it was time to put together his ideal band to perform it. Taylor was previously a member of Step Back Dave, a Victoria reggae-rock band that toured Western Canada and was crowned the Zone 91.3’s “Band of the Month”, a sought-after achievement for Victoria acts.
With SBD broken up for three years, Taylor wrangled up some familiar friends he had met over the years in the Victoria music scene.

The formation of the group also marked a change in Taylor’s lifestyle. After a two-month stay in rehab, Taylor is now completely sober for the first time in over a decade. Now writing with a clear mind, his musical output features a depth and sincerity not found in some of his previous material.

Musically, listeners can expect Morning Mayhem to take journey through a myriad of musical genres such as funk, jazz, soul. R&B, hip-hop, reggae, ska and punk; evoking the works of iconic fusion artists like Ben Harper, The Clash, and Sublime.

With its bandleader’s musical and personal; rebirth, Morning Mayhem is band to look out for in the near future.

..VAN ISLE BREAKERS..
Van Isle Breakers are a gritty Roots-Rock-Reggae band from Victoria who's skanky sound will remind you that you are on an island surrounded by water.

..ZONNIS..
"We could make beautiful music together." Those were the first words that came to mind as they stared at each other through the dimly-lit venue. From love-at-first-sight to becoming the incredible power duo that you see today, the music of Zonnis is a story of good ol' fashioned rock & roll sprinkled with a light dusting of comedy and drama. Playing from the heart, these star-stricken balladeers criss-cross the land, spreading their messages of peace, love, utopia and friendship. They fearlessly explore both the light and dark sides of life, forever bound together in an eternal flash of divine inspiration.
