Aaron Wood is an accomplished local musician. He plays blues/rock music all over the greater Victoria area. Aaron is originally from Montreal Quebec and started his musical journey as a drummer. He played in many professional bands over a 7 year period, has toured with some local quebec blues bands and has performed in front of crowds of over 5000 people. Aaron decided to pursue the electric guitar 6 years ago after moving to BC. He formed a band in Victoria and never looked back. Aaron now sings, plays the blues with all his heart and manages his own band. He is considered to be a new threat amongst other guitarists and has been called “Young Elvis” and “Young SRV”. Aaron said in a music festival interview once “if I don’t feel it, I don’t play it”, a philosophy that Aaron lives by ruthlessly. The Aaron Wood Trio show will consist of predominately cover songs from artists such as SRV, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa, Freddie King and Phil Collins just to name a few. There will be a few original songs performed as well. Aaron has recorded a private released album in 2012 and will have a public re-release of that album by the end of 2014. To sum it up, The Aaron Wood Trio carries lots of energy, passion, commitment and a pursuit for a modern play of the blues/rock genre.
