Join us at Hermann's for an evening of Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms with Pablo Cardenas and The West Coast Latin All Stars.

The band will be play a fusion of Latin music with jazz, blues, classical, and world music. There will be music from Bach,Tito Puente, Ruben Gonzales, Charlie Parker, George Gershwin and many more along with some original music too.

The line up features PABLO CARDENAS piano, PETER DOWSE bass, KELBY MACNAYR drums, HECTOR RAMOS congas, MIGUELITO VALDES trumpet & vocals & SPECIAL GUESTS

Cuban-born pianist Pablo Cardenas first touched a keyboard at age five and was studying at the Matanzas Conservatory of Music by age seven. He has had a long and varied professional career as performer and teacher, and combines his classical training with an interest in his own jazz projects that encompass jazz, fusion, Latin jazz, and traditional and modern Cuban musical styles. Pablo has experience performing Classical recitals in the theatres of Havana including the famous Amadeo Roldan Theatre as well as collaborating with many accomplished musicians including singers Leo Vera and Paulo FG and groups Mambo Club International Orquestra and Azuzar Caliente as well as his own jazz project performing jazz, fusion, Latin jazz, traditional and contemporary Cuban styles. This young pianist played at famous events in Cuba such as the International Jazz Plaza Festival and clubs including Casa de la Musica, Mambo Club, Jazz Cafe and Havana Cafe.Since arriving in Canada in 2010, Cardenas has performed with Miguelito Valdes and Adonis Puentes.
