Hi there friends,
I'm here to let you know that SandyBone & The BreakDown will be doing out first ever show at The BackStage Lounge on Granville Island this Saturday, Oct. 5th. There are three great bands playing this night starting with The Jamie Dale Band, then The Invaders and closing with The BreakDown. Jamie Dale I have known for some time and is one hell of a fine soul singer who performs a plethora of classic R & B material guaranteed to get your feet moving on the dance floor. The Invaders are an alt rock/pop band centred around guitar and Farfisa organ (haven't seen or heard one of those live for years!) who have just signed a recording deal and are currently making quite the splash in media circles. The BreakDown will be present in it's glorious entirety including: Double D, Dave Webb, Pat Darcus, John Noland and yours truly and we be doing a select melange of tunes hand-picked for the occasion featuring some newly penned tunes which will be on our up and coming record.
The BackStage Lounge is a fantastic venue with full in house production which I have not played for years (I played there many times in the past and loved it!) but have been dying to bring The BreakDown into. It's a great place for a night out with a comfy ambience, big dance floor and good food right on False Creek -Vancouver's only waterfront live music venue if you can imagine that... I sure hope you'll come on down this Saturday for what promises to be a top drawer night of excellent music and hellacious fun.
