Event Description
Join saxophonist and music educator Jonnie Bridgman on an exciting journey to unlock your creative potential and learn to improvise on your instrument with confidence. This workshop you will guide you through several approachable exercises to help you improvise more effectively within different styles of music and better express the musical ideas already inside you. There will not be a heavy emphasis on music theory but rather the focus will be on tapping into the many different musical elements that create excitement and invoke an emotional response in music for the performer and the listener.This workshop is open to all instruments including voice. The workshop is also designed to allow students of various ability levels to learn together in a relaxed, supportive environment. All that is needed is for you to be able play your instrument with confidence.
