The story of The Get Down is still a young one, but is drenched in perseverance. After three independently produced albums, relentless gigging and critical acclaim they continue to push on. Having established a deep footprint on the Vancouver indy scene, they're being recognized as one of Vancouver's favorite acts.

In the summer of 2011 the members from The Showgears decided to join up with Sunny Vendetta to create a new vision. With influences ranging from old school 60s pop to more contemporary indie rock, Valley Girl has created a unique blend of genres that is both fun and melodic. The band just got out of the studio and recorded a 10 track demo and has plans to record a EP in the near future
