Event Description
Late show:Quite Testy, Hidden Towers, The Brass Action, and Antiparty
"Cap'n Seafarer's Barnacle Blastin' Megaplex":
Four of Vancouver's most diverse bands come together to bring you a
night of "Songs for Fustylugs" Spinnin' nautical tales that would make
Moby Dick look like Pinocchio.
Quite Testy:
Quite Testy is mix and marriage between the energy of punk prog bands
like No Means No and the flow and vibe of Pink Floyd. Songs
are part demented children's rhymes and another part emotional and
dramatic theatre. Tragedy vs Comedy.
Hidden Towers:
Create brutally beautiful surrealistic compositions. Hidden Towers
evoke their inspiration from fear, paranoia, sexuality and
metaphysics. They accomplish this by mixing a cocktail of soul
shattering rhythms and innocently playful melodies that draw from
jazz, Turkish, metal and post rock music, garnished with haunting
vocals that are reminiscent of american dustbowl folk.
The Brass Action:
The Brass Action is high-energy horn-driven ska at its finest! This
6-piece band brings with it a wide variety of influences and styles to
the stage. Be prepared to dance, skank, mosh, sweat, and find out why
we're called The Brass Action.
Antiparty:
Pushing the development of technology with a cynical undertone, in
sincere curiosity. Loneliness through ghost stories, sex with aliens,
and twisted fairy tales with breakneck speed and sexy salsa.
