Event Description

Surge and Bliss Boutique are pairing up for an acoustic night of all female singer-songwriters. Surge started the Girls with Guitars series last spring with the intentions of giving female artists an opportunity to showcase their musical talents. To date, the music industry is primarily male driven; highlighting an all female line-up gives these girls equal footing to demonstrate their abilities.

Singer-songwriter Christina Maria hails from Surrey, BC (a suburb of Vancouver), but don't try to pin her music to any one place; while she was born and raised in Canada, her eclectic folk pop sound reflects her diverse experiences touring and traveling throughout the world.

An old man who heard Katie singing in her mothers arms as a toddler gave her $10 to go towards her music career, and she's been singing ever since. While studying voice performance in university, Katie discovered she had more than just a pretty voice when she picked up a guitar and started writing; she had things to sing about. Katie's songs are like journal entries that give you a peek into her inner most thoughts. Katie is currently in the studio recording her first album in her home town, Victoria, BC.

Ellisa Hartman is a multi-talented young performing artist/musician ready to leap into a high-profile role in the Canadian and international music scene. Her artistic presence, unique voicing and instrumental styles enable her to lead or support in many genres, always adding ‘that certain feel’ to the moment.
