Event Description
. Friday, May 8th IMU presents MARBLE RYE CD Release Party w/ SATORI TIDE, ANALOG BELL SERVICE & The MATINEE @ The Railway Club, 579 DunsmuirMARBLE RYE blends a unique mixture of classic rock, modern alternative rock and even a dash of Motown into their high-energy music. Known for their intense, high energy live shows, they have a distinctive sound that combines high-flying guitarmonies, acapella vocals and subtle yet powerful piano. With great vocals, contagious music and storytelling lyrics, their music should appeal to any alt-pop rock fan.
SATORI TIDE - Consistently winning over new fans since their recent inception, Satori Tide fuses an intoxicating blend of reggae, funk, ska and wide open rock soundscapes. Their live performance speaks for itself with audiences quickly catching the party vibe, unable to resist joining in the party. Their natural charm and energy quickly connects with listeners, resulting in a string of highly-successful shows and a growing pack of dedicated, rambunctious and energetic fans.
ANALOG BELL SERVICE - 5 Guys. 2 Brothers. 2 Atlantic Canadians. 1 Californian. They came together because of a rehearsal space in Chinatown that could only be accessed by ringing a bell on a string. Substance influenced jams were recorded and eventually chiseled into songs. The songs were arranged into a set and played at the legendary 524 Main St parties and the band was born.
The MATINEE is emerging as one of the West Coast's premier independent bands. Blending a passion for fine ale and finely crafted tunes, they offer a unique spin on a roots rock sound that is quickly attracting both national and international audiences. Writing songs that paint pictures of empty bottles and broken hearts, broken bottles and empty hearts, their collection of songs vividly comes to life. As they continue with their hard-nosed, DIY, blue collar work ethic, there is little doubt that this show is worth the price of admission.
