Event Description
. Saturday, Oct 25th I.M.U. presents The SAINTS COLLAPSE CD Release Party w/ TENANT & FIGHTING FOR ITHACA . Early Show 8-11pm @ The Bourbon, 50 West Cordova / Purchase advance tickets online @ imuproductions.comThe SAINTS COLLAPSE (formerly THIS WEEK IN HISTORY) are a group of silver-tongued devils out to worm their way in to the proverbial undergarments of the music industry. Featuring former members of This Week In History, Rakshasa and Burn Project, this local A-Team delivers appealingly catchy songs created with unusual combinations of instruments and experimentation. Paired with the on-stage antics of a band let loose, this is what you wished you had found every time you've been disappointed at a live rock show... a REAL danger-fueled rock'n'roll show!
TENANT is an aggressive, progressive, and impressive heavy rock quartet based in Vancouver. Recorded at the famed Mushroom Studios, they launched their much-anticipated debut CD "All My Favourite Bands Are Breaking Up" with a sold out show at the Media Club, bringing their high energy live performances back to local fans. Every Tenant show is an opportunity to be amazed and entertained; their extremely heavy grooves and catchy melodies leave audiences humming and headbanging long after Tenant leaves the stage.
FIGHTING FOR ITHACA - Drawing influences from bands such as Underoath, Killswitch Engage, Ten Second Epic, Halifax, Anberlin, Silverstein and 30 Seconds to Mars, Fighting For Ithaca's hook-filled vocals and bouncy, contagiously energized rhythms are backed with solid live harmonies and an aggressive stage show. Tired of generic, outdated sounds in the local scene, frontman Curtis Steeksma searched desperately for musicians with more adventurous musical tastes. After an extended search, the band's instant chemistry was cemented and has carved its own niche in the Vancouver scene.
