MATTHEW MEI: The PREACHER'S SON & YOU BRIGHT MINDS - Having traveled the world as the son of a preacher man, Matt's initial introduction to the world of music was his dads classical, old blues and folk records, but it was his struggles in life and his soulful growth that fueled his desire to write emotional and heartfelt songs. Matt teamed up with Jonathan Anderson (Jonathan Inc.) at Buena Vista Studios to create a thoughtful album that showcased some of his favorite songs he had written over the years. Be sure to join Matt tonight to hear songs from his newest CD release, "Contribution to Sound", a solid rock/folk excursion with bluesy undertones, hip hop beats and a most welcome retreat from the current atmosphere of commercial and trite ready-made music.

LIONS IN THE STREET create rock'n'roll that is fierce and genuine, invoking vintage Stones swagger and raunchy boogie rock 'n' roll with lean attack and ass-kicking rhythmic sense. Formerly known as The Years, the Lions have shared stages with the likes of Jet, Kings of Leon, Ambulance Ltd, The Dirtbombs and The Zutons and "explode with a Stones/Small Faces onslaught that drips with jubilant passion, as well as very loud guitars played with giddy abandon" (Guitar Player Magazine). Michael Corcoran of the Austin American-Statesman extols the Lions as being "the first great band I saw this year at SXSW!"

RUN GMC delivers a perfect blend of swinging high-energy roots country rock. A dynamic twangy combination of raw, bluesy vocals, rockin' guitars, solid drumming and sweet washboard playin' creates what Missouri Gun and Rifle expounge as, "Now that's music ya can hunt to" Be sure to catch this smokin' roots act this special evening!



TREACHEROUS MACHETE - A Post-Millennial Blues Garage Punk Rock 'n' Roll duo with a focus on the devil and "mean damn women" who done them wrong, featuring a visceral slide guitar and snare drum assault with fierce guitar riffs, full-on shrieks, and shirtless, force-of-nature stampede drumming.
