Event Description
Well folks, this is it... The biggest show we've ever played is coming up and we totally need your support. If you only ever come out to see one RANDOMBLIND show, this is the show to see.On Friday, December 19, 2003, in an effort to raise money to manufacture our debut CD, we're blowing the roof off of TONIC (917 Granville). It's an early show, doors are at 7pm with bands at 7:30, 8:20 and us on at 9:20. We'll be all wrapped up before 10:30. Tickets for the show (available by calling sage at 604.675.9987 or at Zulu Records on 4th and Arbutus) are only $12 and will include a copy of "...so, this is progress?" mailed or delivered to you one month before the public release date of February 26th, 2004.
We're totally stoked to be playing with our good friends The Joint Chiefs and Mr. Plow! Come early to catch all the acts.
TONIC is probably the nicest joint in town that's gonna let the likes of us darken its doorstep. Converted into a nightclub from the guts of the old Paradise Theatre, the bar's ultra high ceilings, balcony, and raised stage offer excellent sight-lines to the band and the built-in acoustics create excellent sound. The lighting system is state of the art, and the ambience in the bar is extremely comfortable.
During the show, we will play all six songs from "...so, this is progress?": The Ballad of John Walker Lindh, Manifest Lunacy, Teeth, Centred, Look at the Face, and Caste. We will also drop versions of your old favourites, including Michigan and Missile Grey Eyes and we will unveil our brand new song, The Inside Job, which is hotter than the personal furnace satan is keeping stoked for the arrival of Gordon Campbell.
Again, this is the most important show of our career and we really need your support. While we know that parting with $12 at this time of year can be a little hard, this is going to be a great party and the more of you that come out (and the more people you bring) will make it all that much better. And, hey, you'll get the new RANDOMBLIND CD, the first RANDOMBLIND CD, before anyone else in town. Hell, we'll even sign 'em for you if you want.
We hope to see you there,
Sage, Shayne, Todd & Joe
