Event Description
. Saturday, April 14th IMU presents THIS WEEK IN HISTORY CD RELEASE & TOUR KICK OFF PARTY w/ SCATTERHEART & THORNHAVEN featuring DANNY SVEINSON @ The BUFFALO CLUB, 1161 Granville St. EARLY SHOW Doors: 6pm . Show: 7pm / $10 - Get your advance tickets online at http://www.imuproductions.com/tixTHIS WEEK IN HISTORY are a group of silver-tongued devils out to worm their way in to the proverbial undergarments of the music industry. Featuring former members of Rakshasa and Burn Project, this local A-Team delivers appealingly catchy songs created with unusual combinations of instruments and experimentation. Paired with the on-stage antics of a band let loose, this is what you wished you had found every time you've been disappointed at a live rock show... a REAL danger-fueled rock'n'roll show! http://www.myspace.com/twihmusic
SCATTERHEART - A high energy, theatrical alternative/pop/rock quartet whose goal is to make fun, uplifting, catchy rock with a thoughtful and emotional message. While recording their debut CD at Vancouver's Fortissimo Sound Studios, Scatterheart was fortunate enough to recruit the amazing talents of Doug Fury (Bif Naked, Almighty Truth) on lead guitar. Their electrifying music will cause your pulse to dangerously accelerate as the living soul is ripped from your scorched body, weather permitting! http://www.myspace.com/scatterheartband
THORNHAVEN - Electric, charged and explosive, guitarist Danny Sveinson (also known as The Rock'n'Roll Kid and formerly of the recently disbanded Sonic City) was featured in a popular CBC Newsworld documentary. He inherited his love of classic guitar-rock from his dad's vinyl stash and by March of 2004 had became the youngest person to ever play the Commodore Ballroom, opening for Colin James. Be sure to check out his newest project Thornhaven as they play live for the first time this special evening! http://www.therockandrollkid.com
