"Hallucinations" is a special multimedia performance & CD Release party featuring live music and film at the Media Club on December 15th. This special live event will feature performances by Steve Rio, Windows '78, Welkin and Shukov along with video art installments and a pre-show screening of short films by various local directors, mixed live by a VJ Krash Hazzard on the club's large screen. Special musical guests joining Steve onstage include Steve Dawson, Paula Toledo, Meghan Engel and Cris Derksen, while featured video artists include Jesse Savath, Bienvenido Cruz, AJ Bond, Oily Films, Salmon Avalanche, Megs Majewski and more. Be sure to join him and his special guests for this exciting evening!

STEVE RIO is a talented local guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer who has been involved with music since the age of 12, playing in almost every type of project imaginable. "Hallucinations" is an expansive genre-bending work comprised of many moods and sounds that will be available exclusively for the first time at the show. The tastefully produced CD features straight-up indie rock along with dark experimental tracks, roots and electronic sounds, twisting through genres while guided by Rio's honest lyrics and confident but understated vocal approach. http://www.steverio.ca

WELKIN - Magical, bleak and beautiful, the music of Welkin is fearless, feral, ethereal and epic in proportion. Welkin is the brainchild of singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist and pianist Geoff Birch. For inspiration, Birch writes his songs in a cabin in the Cascade Mountains of British Columbia.
