Stampede Corral
The Stampede Corral is one of Stampede Park's most historic buildings. Completed in 1950, the Corral was the largest arena west of Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens when it was built. It has been home to The Calgary Flames, ice shows, and celebrity concerts. Fortunately, the Stampede chose the name Corral over other such suggestions as the "Rodeodrome" and the "Stampedeoriem"!
Located south of Stampede Park's north gate, the Corral hosts The popular Eukanuba Superdogs each Stampede, as well as Rodeo Royal each March.
