That is what guest curator Brice Canyon said in the opening of A Post Modern Discourse, the introduction to the catalogue for this exhibition at the Western Front in 1994. He later says that "Wyngaarden's installation and video works are not so much an attempt to reconcile . . . conflicting forces, but instead ask the viewer to question the power at stake." The catalogue offers colour and black and white stills from Wyngaarden's videos, essays by Canyon, Susan Lord and Scott Watson and photographs of the installation by Chick Rice.
