Puro Son

Trumpeter Miguelito Valdes has performed with many of Cuba’s top performers, including the Cabaret Tropicana Orquestra and Isaac Delgado, and he toured the world for six years with the famed Cuban singer Omara Portuondo (Buena Vista Social Club). Since his arrival in Vancouver in 2006, Valdes has become one of the brightest stars of our active Latin music scene, and Puro Son is one of the most popular bands in the city. With his wife Cynthia Rodriguez piano, Arianne Charon bass, Sahili Gonzalez vocals, Jesus Hierrezuelos and Eddy Labrada percussion.
