Neera Huckvale

The universe is full of beauty and mystery. Art allows me in touch its beauty and mystery. I work intuitively—- allowing shapes, colours, textures to speak and surprise. I mostly work in silk; using found and new fabric.

I studied at the Ottawa School of Art in the 1980’s and began working in fibre in 1999. I was an Artist-in-Residence at The Ottawa School of Dance and helped run its Gallery for many years. My work has been shown in Ottawa, Montreal and Phoenix, Arizona.
My work has been purchased by the City of Ottawa as well as individual collectors.
