In 1963, Dennis Ferbey & his band The CJCA Pharaohs recorded with producer Vinny Trauth at Pepper Tanner Studios in Memphis TN. At the same time Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs had a hit record, Wooly Bully. So they had to change to James and the Bondsmen. The back up singers were The Dixi Bells
