Stefan Lehmann

Born in Berlin, Germany, I was raised and educated in Toronto where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University. After completing my degree I promptly stopped painting and drawing and didn’t start again for nearly 20 years. In 2018 I started again, and it’s been a driving force in my life ever since. The key to that reversal was discovering a sense of play in art-making. Today I have a thriving creative practice that finds me drawing, painting, or writing nearly every day. Joining Gage in 2023 has easily been the best change I made, exposing me to host of other artists, their work and experience.
