Liz Charsley

I make drawings of the world I choose to inhabit, which is mostly some slightly wild place without any people in it. For years, while I was living in London, (UK), the aim of my work was to escape the hectic pace of city life and make time for the quiet contemplation of the natural world.

Now that I am based in Victoria, BC, the wild world is on my doorstep, and I step into it every week.

I work in charcoal or oil pastel on larger landscapes, and in watercolour or ink on smaller studies and botanical drawings.
