Ciel

Ciel is a Xi'an-born and Toronto-based music producer, DJ, pianist, and radio presenter. She's the creator of Toronto's "Work in Progress" concert series prioritizing women artists, a co-founder of the multidisciplinary events platform "It's Not U It's Me," and co-owner of Toronto's electronic music label "Parallel Minds." Ciel hosts a monthly radio show on Rinse FM in London and is part of the renowned DJ collective, Discwoman. Her music has received critical acclaim, with EPs released on labels like Peach Discs, Coastal Haze, Spectral Sound, Thanks for Enlightening Me, and Mister Saturday Night. During the pandemic, she embraced production, working on multiple records simultaneously. She debuted a live PA of original production at Mutek in 2021 and wrote her debut album 'Homesick' with grant funding from the Canadian Government, planning to release it on her own label in 2023. Ciel has forthcoming releases with Exstatic Editions, Unknown to the Unknown, Peach Discs, and !K7 Records.
