Cleo Madelaine

Cleo Madelaine is a singer/songwriter who expresses her soul with a unique sound intended to enchant, uplift and activate her listeners. Her lyrics are inspired by her dynamic life experiences ~ her trials, triumphs and travels. When performing live she uses a vocal looping pedal and effects pedals to create a percussive soundscape of beatboxing, melodies and haunting harmonies as her instrumentation. When on stage, Cleo notoriously creates improvisational break downs in her songs, and jumps from singing into spontaneous spoken word, sharing her thoughts and perspectives with the audience. Cleo delivers her sound with a fluidity and ease as seamless as it is candid, jazzy and soulful. Since 2001, Cleo has collaborated on stage and in the studio with many different artists including Kanaan, Raw Element, Abstract Rude, Lafa Taylor, Erica Dee, Montreal beatboxing champion X-Wam and Vancouver soul singer David Morin.
