About

Ill Scarlett

since circa 2004
Formed in Ontario almost 25 years ago, illScarlett plays a catchy blend of reggae, punk, and ska.

Initially making a name for themselves through independent release and a few stints on the Vans Warped Tour (event founder Kevin Lyman hand selected them after they played a DIY show in the parking lot), the group eventually signed to Sony BMG Canada for their major-label debut, All Day With It. Lead single “Nothing Special” became a massive hit on Canadian alternative radio and Much Music, propelling the album to Gold certification.

Now an independent operation, illScarlett is still going strong, returning to their roots with self-released punk-reggae tunes and an insatiable fervour for live performance.
