Praised as “nothing short of stunning” (Vancouver Presents), lyric coloratura soprano Robin Eder-Warren has sung on stages around the world, from Germany to New York to the Lower Mainland, which she calls home. The recipient of a Metropolitan Opera Encouragement Award, some of her recent operatic roles include Valencienne in The Merry Widow; Lucy in The Telephone; all three soprano roles in Gianni Schicchi; Gretel in Hansel and Gretel; Musetta in La bohème; Despina in Così fan tutte; Papagena in The Magic Flute; Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro; and Norina in Don Pasquale, where she “stole the show” (The Voice) and was hailed as “priceless” (Opera Canada magazine).
A versatile performer as comfortable in musicals, theatre and film as in opera, Robin has also recently appeared as Mrs Nordstrom in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music; Meg in Little Women (earning a CTC Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical); Ophelia in Eidola at the Vancouver Fringe Festival; Laurey in Oklahoma!; Cunegonde in Candide; Young Heidi in Follies; and herself, in Mariposa’s original Broadway revue show The Butterfly, which raised $13,000 for the BC Women’s Hospital Foundation.
