About
Ceremony - Prince George
since circa 2001
Ceremony Mission Statement : 2 rock hard, 2 score, and make enough money 2 do it all over again
We are Ceremony, We come from the bitter and cold north.
We live in and play out of Northern British Columbia,
British Columbia is in Canada.
Canada is the northernmost country on North America
North America is located on Earth which is a planet ,
Earth has one moon and revolves around a yellow sun .
Okay now that we are all up to speed
let's get on with the show.
The Ceremony Story Thus Far :
The first incarnation of Ceremony came from the ashes of a
Prince Georgian group called Space Ghost,
Mathias Rock : vox/drums, Scott 2 Hott on guitar,
and "Trainwreck" Henry on bass
To make a long story short our bassist left town and we were looking for somebody to fill the position,
Enter Sasa Seslija.
Sasa is a Bosno-Canadian : (a Bosnian who immigrated to Canada STUPID )
Sasa used to come to the Space Ghost shows and he really liked our group
One Hallowe'en (2001)
Mathias was shopping for some skeleton gloves,
he ran into Sasa who was shopping for a mullet wig.
He told Sasa of the open bassist position and Sasa came over for an audition.
Sasa wasn't that good, but we could'nt find anyone better and we kinda liked him
so he got the gig
(But the story has only begun people, and this story is not all roses)
Shortly after Sasa joined
Scott (the only guitarist we'll ever miss) left the group
So began the search for a guitarist (and a drummer).
We tried out many different ATTITUDES, a few ASSHOLES and even a couple of complete TWATS.
It took us nearly two years to put together a band worthy of the Ceremony name
..WE FAILED MISERABLY !!
But In November 2002 we played our first all ages show
with line up number one (see past members list)
It was a good turn out and we really did rock out hard,
but a week after such a great show our drummer bailed on us
and it was back to the search
Jump to June 2003 (Line up number two)
We were back with a renewed vigor and enthusiasm
we played multiple shows between June 2003 and February 2004
In March of 2004 we hired a keyboardist (and fired our guitarist)
Mathias picked up the guitar and away we went with line up number three
We played some great gigs including...
The Smithers Midsummer Festival (it is a big deal)
and a Prince George Metis Society Festival,
more club dates and an all ages show
Baby Ceremony E.P. out soon... ...Look Out peoples
well, Thank you so much for reading this, it took me a while to write it
So until next time keep it real... real... real... real... real... real... (that's an echoing reverb effect... ...y'all)
Until next We meet, may all your dreams...
...be scary as hell
