Tina Pearson

First generation Canadian with Nordic and Slavic roots, born on Nigigoonsiminekaaning and Couchiching traditional territory, currently residing within the traditional lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees), and Wyomilth (Esquimalt) peoples. Currently focused on biospheric, site specific and telepresence projects, including multidisciplined audiovisual installations, performance, concert music, dance collaborations, workshops and experiments in presence through local and international live and networked initiatives, and exploring telematic performance practice with the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse. Recent projects include residencies and commissions for Contact Contemporary Music (Toronto), Roles4Women at Factory Theatre (Toronto) Centre Experimentale de Music (Saguenay, Quebec), Media Net (Victoria), Burn Down the Capital (Toronto), and choreographer Lori Hamar (Victoria).
