Jenica Rayne is a compelling songwriter, playwright, accomplished guitarist and seasoned performer: a storyteller who draws her audience in with lyric driven songs that speak from the heart. Her music has been described as “intimate, evocative and haunting”, and critics have coined her “a poet of consequence, an advocate for personal and social change.” Jenica discography includes: Hall of Memories (1999), Essential Elements (2005) Live Rayne (2007) self-titled EP with the Calamity Janes Band Calamity Janes (2013) Love is Love Compilation CD (2013) Hit The Ground Running (October 2014) and a collection of singles. Jenica’s one act play told in song, untold stories, debuted at the Domino Theater in Kingston On to a sold out audience in April 2023.
She is a graduate of Vancouver Island University’s jazz music program (2007). In between shows she is busy teaching music to her devoted students in Kingston, Ontario.
